1 Sierra Wreck – Colombo, Sri Lanka

The Sierra Wreck is a popular dive site located just off the coast of Colombo, offering a thrilling experience for wreck diving enthusiasts. This 155-meter-long cargo ship, which sank in 2012, rests at a depth of 24 meters, making it an excellent site for Open water & advanced divers. The wreck is largely intact, allowing for a fascinating exploration of its decks and inner compartments.
The ship’s main deck lies at a depth of 10 to 12 meters (33 to 39 feet), making the wreck easily accessible for divers of all skill levels. In fact, sections of its superstructure even rise above the water’s surface. Divers frequently encounter species such as barracuda, groupers, octopus, angelfish, butterflyfish, moray eels, and lionfish at this sitey.
2. Anchor Point Reef – Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka

Anchor Point is a unique and exciting dive site located off the coast of Kalpitiya, known for its calm waters and pristine underwater environment. The dive site gets its name from a large, historic anchor that rests on the ocean floor, providing a focal point for exploration. Anchor Point Reef is an ideal spot for beginner divers in Kalpitiya. Located just a 30-minute boat ride from the shore, it offers a perfect starting point for those new to diving.
Sitting at a depth of around 10 to 15 meters, Anchor Point reef is perfect for both novice and experienced divers. The area is teeming with marine life, offering sightings of vibrant reef fish, including parrotfish, angelfish, and butterflyfish , Turtles , Sting Rays Divers will also encounter Clownfish nest and a variety of other fascinating underwater creatures like moray eels.
3. Navy Island – Trincomalee, Sri Lanka


Located just a short distance from Trincomalee town, Navy Island features a striking rock formation that rises from the water and reaches depths of about 5 – 12 meters. The site boasts rugged rocky walls and an L-shaped small cave that, if followed, leads you toward the surface.
Divers can expect to encounter a variety of marine life, including morays, garden eels, mantis shrimp, and schools of blue-striped snapper. The area is also home to stunning table corals and much more.
4.Underwater Navy Museum and Shipwreck – Trincomalee, Sri Lanka



After completing their service in the 30-year war, two ships from the Third Fast Gun Boat Squadron of the Sri Lankan Navy, Weeraya and Jagatha (which translate to ‘hero’ and ‘conqueror’), have been transformed into thrilling dive site. The maximum depth of the dive site beneath Trinco Underwater museum reaches around 16-20 meters but it can vary depending on the exact location of the wrecks
This dive site Created by Sri Lanka’s navy in 2020, it offers both excitement and intrigue. Divers can explore two sunken gunboats adorned with encrusting corals and algae, with small openings providing glimpses inside. Although the wrecks are not penetrable, they are an impressive sight, home to various fish species like groupers and batfish. Surrounding the wrecks is an underwater museum filled with figures and military equipment, Be on the lookout for scorpionfish and stonefish, which use these structures as resting spots. 5. Broken Anchor Reef – Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka



Broken Anchor Reef is a captivating dive site located in the picturesque waters of Kalpitiya, renowned for its stunning underwater scenery and diverse marine life. Named after a large, broken anchor that rests on the reef, this site is a favorite among divers seeking both adventure and tranquility.
DIvesite located approximately 20 minutes from the shore of Kalpitiya Beach, The reef is 2 km in length and offers dives at a depth of up to 16 -18 meters. the various fish species can be find in Broken anchor reef are Large Grouper, Humphead wrasse, Green & Hawks bill turtles , Marbled Sting-ray & Octopus
